Old Temple Photo Book • Memory and City
Metropolis as Shanghai, has several ancient temples. I choose four of them, and collect their pictures to create a 24-page photo book.
Map of Fuxing Park • Sky and City
French people built Fuxing Park in Shanghai in 1906. The park today turns out to be a public place for citizens.
However, road signs here are still written with French. So I made a map for Fuxing Park in French, trying to make people think it of a French park.
Takashimaya Brochure • Symbol and City
Takashimaya is a famous shopping mall in Japan, and there is only one branch store in China, Shanghai.
I made a shopping brochure for Shanghai’s Takashimaya with Japanese. Reading this, people will wonder whether it is in Tokyo or not. Visual symbols in both cities are always the same.
Name Cards • Dead and City
During the world war, Shanghai was divided into pieces. At the same time, many foreigners came here to educate citizens with knowledge and technology.
I made name cards of those missionaries in Shanghai, imaging their life in those days.
